Three quarters:
Two pairs of 2 faculty x 13 hours each PLUS 1 mentor x 16 hours
Annual result: 6 faculty/year PAROSL trained

WRATS Individual Teaching Coach
12-15 hrs of consultation with a faculty member to review syllabus, attend a class, join CCLE or BruinLearn site to review setup, and have a pre-meeting and debrief session with a follow-up 3 weeks later.
Annual result: 4 faculty/year coached
WRATS Reflective Teaching Support Group
Facilitated support group for 4 faculty members. Meets 4 times. Uses reflection, journaling, group process to explore feedback from students and peers and gain insight into motivations, barriers, and opportunities to change.
Annual Result: 12 faculty/year engaged
WRATS Teaching Book Club
Book club about teaching for all faculty to join. Will meet once per quarter. Hosted. Discussion.

WRATS Teaching Awards
Purpose:
The purpose of the UCLA SON Excellence in Teaching Award and Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award is to recognize excellence in the area of teaching.
Each year, awards will be given to:
a pre-licensure faculty member teaching in BS or MECN Programs
a graduate programs faculty teaching MSN-APRN, DNP, or PhD courses
a clinical educator, preceptor, VACP
Eligibility and Award Criteria
Excellence in Teaching Award (two awards/year) University of Maryland?
Eligibility Criteria:
UCLA SON faculty member with a full- or part-time faculty appointment (lecturers faculty are not eligible for this award)
Faculty member who has taught at UCLA SON for at least one year
Faculty member must teach in pre-licensure program or graduate programs
Award Criteria:
The nominee will exhibit excellence in teaching consistent with the criteria listed below.
Leads in the promotion and implementation of innovative teaching/learning approaches in nursing education
Exhibits the characteristics and behaviors of a strong role model
Demonstrates excellence and innovation in teaching/learning approaches
Promotes diversity and culture of inclusion
Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award University of Maryland?
Eligibility Criteria:
Clinical faculty member who has taught at UMSON for at least one year
Clinical faculty teaching in either the baccalaureate (BSN) program or master’s
entry-into-practice option
Award Criteria:
The nominee will exhibit excellence in teaching consistent with the criteria listed below.
Leads in the promotion and implementation of innovative teaching/learning approaches in nursing education
Exhibits the characteristics and behaviors of a strong role model
Demonstrates excellence and innovation in teaching/learning approaches
Promotes diversity and culture of inclusion
Nomination Process:
The eligible faculty member must be nominated by a colleague for the award. The nomination packet consists of the following components:
Selection Committees:
The Selection Committee will review nominee applications and select the awardees. The Selection Committees will include representatives from the Office of Student Affairs and the Program Directors.
Presentation of Awards:
Award winners will be announced at the end of the spring quarter and will:
receive an engraved award
be featured in UMSON communications.
Play some sort of special role at graduation
Standing Committee Responsible for Oversight:
