Online courses--steps

For  permanent fully online classes the following flow is needed if it has not been done:

  1. Approval from program director to move forward with online course

  2. Supplemental information CIMS form, syllabi and supplemental questions (please refer to supplemental questions. Curriculum committee has samples of other courses that were submitted if you would like to have a copy)

  3. Approval from SON curriculum committee

  4. Approval from SON FEC/Faculty vote

  5. All items are sent to undergraduate council for approval. Belinda Huntely can assist you in submitting to the undergraduate council, the contact person we submit all our material to in the undergraduate council is jnelsen@senate.ucla.edu.  Please cc Belinda if you plan to submit all the paperwork to undergraduate council directly so we can followup if needed

The information can be found on page https://ucla.app.box.com/s/hm2r2uaykuqlopq8c1qnq7boiy1ypxfh (page 2).  I have provided you with a snapshot of the information in addition the email that I had forwarded you back in May.

The course will need to be voted by our curriculum and FEC prior to submitting to CIMS. https://ucla.app.box.com/s/hm2r2uaykuqlopq8c1qnq7boiy1ypxfh (page 2).
