Welcome Letter
Dear Preceptor,
Thank you for agreeing to precept a student from the UCLA School of Nursing’s Advanced Practice Registered Nursing Program. Our faculty appreciates your interest in being an integral part in the education of our future graduates. Your help is essential to provide a quality educational experience for our students and your participation is greatly appreciated. The purpose of this handbook is to provide you with information about our specialty programs at the UCLA School of Nursing and provide you guidelines for the preceptor’s role including teaching, supervising, and evaluating students.
We hope the information contained in this handbook will assist you in your preceptor role. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact the clinical faculty, or program director.
