The pool is a group of applicants with completed applications. When the committee is ready to interview candidates, they declare the current applicants to be the pool.

Tip: How do I See Applicants?!

The pool includes all current applicants, regardless of whether they are considered suitable or not

  • The committee agrees to move forward with the current applicants

    • There should be some people who the committee wants to interview

  • The Chair asks the dean for approval to move forward,

  • The Chair asks the EDI representative in the SON for their approval of the pool (usually the Associate Dean for DEI).

  • Upon approval, the Chair notifies the academic personnel HR staff person that they wish to submit the current applicants as a pool for approval.
