The search committee collates and synthesizes the feedback and provides this to the dean to help them make a decision. Criteria include:

  • Scholarship – aptitude, research area (fit and importance), productivity, potential for funding, actually and possible collaborators

  • Teaching – classroom and mentoring, mostly will be about potential or need for training

  • Service – minimal

  • Diversity and other – contribution to SON, possible contribution to UCLA and broader community

  • General attributes – work independently, work within team, productive, energetic

  • No labels
