We can ask for department UCLA School of Nursing accounts. As a naming convention, preface with “SON” (since these are campus-wide, and use lowercase.

example: SONacademicaffairs@ucla.edu

The following Departmental Google Apps Request must be filled out be a Dean/Director/Chair/MSO/department IT (“Computing Services Coordinator”)

Requesting a Departmental Google Apps Account

UCLA departments can request an @g.ucla.edu/@ucla.edu Google Apps account for departmental use. These accounts do not include network access services (i.e. VPN, wireless, proxy, etc.) or access to other campus services such as Zoom, Box, or Slack. To apply for an account, a Dean, Director, Chair, MSO, Computing Services Coordinator/Local IT (or department equivalents) can submit a request via the IT Services Service Catalog:

Password Resets

If you have forgotten the password for your departmental email account, please submit a service request to request a password reset:

Service Expiration

Periodic account audits will be performed on departmental accounts. Warning messages will be sent via email when your account is being audited along with further information regarding renewal.

Research accounts

It is also possible to request accounts for research teams. For example, “osabrain@ucla.edu” could be used for email.
