The search committee selects applicants from the approved pool who are hirable to form a short list. The people on this list will be invited for interviews.
The “Status” on the applications page with read “Recommend for interview” which means shortlist.
If more people apply, they can be added to the shortlist. There is by default a 30 day wait (after interviews?) , and then the new applicants can be added to the shortlist. The new shortlist needs to go through the same approval process.
